Highlights from Pumpkins Illuminated 2025

This was our first ever 3-night Pumpkins Illuminated event that also tied into a daytime Conservation Festival at Menokin from October 24-26, 2025. We couldn’t have been more grateful for everyone that joined us for this weekend of fun! Here are some photos to enjoy!

Of course, here are our illuminated Jack o’ Lanterns, carved by our community, staff, & friends!

We had a variety of special displays, some including painted pumpkins by Richmond County Elementary and Montross Middle School students as well as the “Life Cycle of a Pumpkin” display by Just Harvest.

The Chesapeake to Cat Point Creek Waterways Conservation Festival happened on Saturday. There were craft demonstrations like glass blowing, canoe burning, quilting, and more. Many vendors set up tents to sell their work, and guided paddles led by Woodie Walker (Rappahannock Adventures) happened on Cat Point Creek.
