Internships

Traditional Timber Framing Jenrette Preservation Internship (Sponsored by the Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation) Application Deadline: March 27, 2026

Duration: June 1 - July 19, 2026 (7 weeks) Payment: $3500 stipend for the summer

Housing will be provided

This is a 7-week, hands-on preservation internship focused on traditional timber framing and wood conservation, grounded in Menokin’s long-term rehabilitation strategy related to its Glass House Project. See the full internship description here.

  1. Cover Letter (1–2 pages)

    • Describe your background and interest in traditional building trades

    • Explain why this internship aligns with your educational or career goals

  2. Resume or CV

    • Include relevant coursework, shop experience, or fieldwork

  3. Portfolio (Optional)

    • Photographs or drawings of previous work (framing, woodworking, documentation, etc.)

  4. Faculty or Professional Reference

    • Name and contact information of at least one reference
