2020 - Full Stabilization Begins

In 2020, the herculean effort of full stabilization of the Menokin ruin began.  This included deconstructing the south porch, stabilizing the wine cellar in the basement of the ruin, deconstructing the southwest corner known as Calder’s Corner, archeology, and extracting a locust tree that had grown right into the ruin itself over the past decades. All of this work would set the table for the raising of the walls in Phase IA of the project in 2022.

Here are links to blogs and updates written at the time when this phase of the project was taking place.
