So what is a Menokin Summer Hangout?

Menokin’s first Summer Hangout of the season is July 27th. So what is a Summer Hangout?

One of Menokin’s central missions is to provide spaces for our local communities to come over for experiences ranging from nature walks, learning about local history, kayaking, and more. 

We have heard from local visitors over and over again statements like “This is so great to have right in our backyard. I had no idea!”  Others stated, “I have been looking for a place for my kids to learn history, and this is perfect for them.”

Thus, Menokin Summer Hangouts were created last year to invite our community to come over and hang out. There are free tours, lawn games, activities across the landscape, and just places to chill out, relax, and get to know your neighbors. Admission is free, and frozen treats will be available for purchase.
