This year, Menokin is combining some programs and moving makers’ Day to the Fall, and we hope you can join us!

Friday October 24, Saturday October 25, and Sunday October 26 is Menokin’s first ever Pumpkins Illuminated event! The weekend will include pumpkin activities, a lantern parade, music, food & fun!

We are inviting you to participate as either a Maker-Demonstrator, a Maker-Vendor*, or a Pumpkin Display Builder. Please apply below!

*Maker-Vendors pay a $25 fee for a 10x10 space or $50 for a 10x20 space.

Event Schedule

Thursday, Oct 23

6PM - 9PM: Evening Pumpkins Illuminated Trail open for the public to explore.

Pumpkin Display Builders must have their designs completed & installed by Thursday, Oct. 23. We’ll supply the pumpkins, you do the rest!

Friday, Oct 24

1PM - 5PM : Daytime pumpkin carving & painting, lantern making, scarecrow making.

6PM - 9PM: Evening Pumpkins Illuminated Trail open to explore.

Saturday, Oct 25

1PM - 5PM: Daytime Demonstrators, Maker-Vendors. Pumpkin carving & painting, lantern making, scarecrow making.

5PM - 9PM: Evening Pumpkins Illuminated Trail open to explore. Food vendors & music.

6PM: Lantern Parade!

Sunday, Oct 26

1PM - 5PM: Daytime Maker-Vendors. Pumpkin carving & painting, lantern making, scarecrow making.

5PM - 9PM: Evening Pumpkins Illuminated Trail open to explore. Food vendors & music.

Please Note: That week, the sun sets at 6:10PM. Sunday, Oct. 26, is daylight savings, so it’ll set at 5:10PM.

We are inviting you and/or your organization to sponsor one pumpkin design for folks to be charmed as they travel the paths and view your fanciful creations! Select from a limited number of Menokin themes to create a pumpkin/Jack-o-lantern station along the way:

• Menokin Wildlife: eagles, rabbits, turkeys, ducks, deer, foxes, oh my!

• Menokin House Preservationists: Masons, Carpenters, Architects

• Menokin Landscape: Birding, Kayaking, Hiking, Fishing

• Menokin Farm Scarecrows

• Beer Garden decorations

• Menokin Illumination Welcome Archway

• Pitch an idea to Menokin!

Pumpkin Display Guidelines

Pumpkin Display Registration Deadline: Aug 1, 2025 (We’ll need you to commit early so we can order enough pumpkins!). It is free to apply as a Pumpkin Display Builder!

• Pumpkins will be provided —— you do the rest: build and install by Thursday October 23, 2025.

  • Pumpkin displays should be all-ages friendly!

• Your organization will be promoted in programs and advertising, with a special marker at your design space. The festival will cover 2 weekends for the general public, with school programs available during the prior school weeks.

• All installations must be completed by Oct. 23, 2025. 

• Reclaimed items may be retrieved Oct. 30 - Nov. 1. Unclaimed items will be disposed of or recycled.

• Leftover pumpkins will be donated or composted.
