The Landscape

The pathway from the Menokin Ruin to the Remembrance Structure winds around by the soybean crop

Menokin sits on 500 acres of largely untouched landscape due to an easement on the property awarded in 1997. Attendees of the Menokin’s First Descendants’ Day traversed all areas of the landscape throughout the day where the Ancestors lived and labored in slavery.

Photographs by Michael Beller, Reginald A. Pearman Jr., and Attendees.
