ANGELINA LOSTRACCO | Summer 2026 | Intern

University of Rhode Island

My name is Angelina LoStracco, and I am a junior at the University of Rhode Island studying Landscape Architecture. This summer, I am interning as a Project Engineer with Dominion Traditional Building Group while also working with the Menokin Foundation to help restore the historic gardens at Menokin.

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but spent most of my life in Virginia. My passion for landscape architecture grew from my love of nature, art, and science. From a young age, I was fascinated by the way landscapes can tell stories, connect people to place, and blend natural and built environments.

My interest in history was inspired by my parents, who founded Dominion Traditional Building Group in 2012. Growing up, I was surrounded by conversations about historic preservation and craftsmanship, and I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of protecting and restoring historic places. Watching their work on historic buildings sparked my interest in how landscapes and architecture can preserve cultural heritage.

Through my education and professional experiences, I hope to combine my interests in landscape architecture, ecology, and historic preservation to create meaningful spaces that connect people with both nature and history.
