Extended: Harlem Heroes Exhibit at Menokin

Harlem Heroes Exhibit at the Menokin Visitor Center

We have extended our popular Smithsonian-curated exhibition, Harlem Heroes, at the Menokin Visitor Center through the end of March. Portraits of African-American iconic figures in the arts and literature over the last 100 years are displayed alongside portraits of modern descendants of persons once enslaved at Menokin. The exhibition acknowledges the great legacies to both schools of thought, celebrating African-American heroes from Harlem to Warsaw. Menokin Visitor Center hours are Tuesday- Friday, 10am-4pm. Special arrangements can be made for classroom visitations.
