Menokin Visitors Guide and Interpretive Walking Tour Unveiled

The Menokin Foundation recently published a four-color Visitors Guide and set-up an interpretive walking tour of the 500-acre property. The project was funded through a grant from the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge. The Visitors Guide provides a history of the property, a map and description of different sites and trails on the property, and information on the flora and fauna within Menokin's riparian forest.

Local Boy Scout Troop #203 installed the way finding signage and Menokin neighbors Joe Smith and W.T. Scott installed the new entrance sign. Foundation President Helen Turner Murphy commented that the project, “helps us meet one of our long term goals to make Menokin a more visitor-friendly and accessible site.”
