Experience the first total solar eclipse in the US since 1979 in style and on the water. Imagine the feeling of floating on Cat Point Creek, witnessing the birds falling silent, and the light changing to an eerie hue.Your ticket includes a souvenir pair of viewing glasses that are rated safe for watching the eclipse. Plan to arrive at the boat launch at 1:30 and to be out in the creek by 1:45. The max eclipse in our area takes place at 2:44 but will be occurring while you paddle to the best viewing location.
We have some kayaks available to use. Or you may bring your own. There is space at the launch to drop your boat(s) and turnaround to park at the top of the trail.
