Lecture on Mushrooms Provides Overview of Fungi World Tom Teeples, a Certified Master Naturalist and a charter member of the Mycological Association of Washington (MAW), will present a free slide lecture on mushrooms on Wednesday, June 9 at 5:00 pm at Menokin, near Warsaw, Virginia. This lecture will present an overview of the world of fungi. The lecture is for beginners--safe mushroom identification in the field takes place after thorough education on the various types of fungi. Tom is an amateur mushroom specialist whose interest in mushrooms started in the early '70s after attending mushroom walks with the Smithsonian Associates in Washington, D. C.
